NEWS: ADR Scotland: A New Look and a New Digital Home

Category: News

28 May 2026

As part of the wider ADR UK partnership, ADR Scotland plays a key role in transforming how public sector data is accessed and used for research that benefits people and communities across Scotland. Our work spans some of the country’s most pressing challenges – from health and wellbeing to education, poverty and social inequality – and our new look has been designed to better reflect this breadth and impact.

Why refresh the brand?

Our refreshed brand comes at a time of growth and renewal for ADR UK and its four regional partnerships. ADR Scotland has secured £25 million in funding from UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to significantly expand our programme of work through to 2031. As we continue to evolve, it is vital that our visual identity and digital presence reflect the ambition, scale and diversity of what we do.

We are delighted to have secured a new phase of investment, building on our Government and research collaboration to deliver benefits to the people of Scotland and the UK. This funding will allow us to expand into new policy areas such as housing and the environment and improve our infrastructure for future research users.

Our updated branding and new website brings greater clarity and flexibility, helping us tell richer stories about our research while improving accessibility. It also strengthens our connection to the wider ADR UK family who have led the rebrand across all nations – allowing for a shared identity while giving ADR Scotland its own distinct voice and presence.

A new website for a wider audience

Alongside our refreshed look, we are launching a dedicated ADR Scotland website. Designed with users in mind, it makes it easier to explore our research, understand how to access data, discover opportunities to work with us and stay informed of the latest news.

Whether you are a researcher, policymaker, or member of the public, the website provides a clearer pathway into the power of administrative data. It highlights our projects, partnerships and impact, while supporting greater collaboration across sectors and also how we can support researchers.

Looking ahead

This refreshed brand is more than a visual change – it represents a renewed commitment to openness, collaboration and impact. By strengthening how we communicate and engage, we aim to make administrative data research more visible, more accessible, and more widely used to inform policies that improve lives.

We look forward to continuing to work collaboratively across Scotland and the UK to unlock the full potential of data for public good.

If you have feedback about our website, we would love to hear from you.
